Alameda and Los Angeles County homeowners are eligible to receive a rebate of up to $2,000 to offset the cost of obtaining a GreenPoint Rated Existing Home label for their property. This rebate is not intended to pay for actual improvements being made to the home. Rebate amounts will be reduced over time, so reserve your rebate today!
The Elements label recognizes green building best practices for a small remodel or addition. It’s a great
stepping stone for homeowners making small improvements over time.
If you’re planning an Advanced Upgrade, you can earn 20 out of the 25 points needed for a GreenPoint Rated Elements label. Learn more about simple additional measures that will help you qualify for this rebate.
The Whole House label recognizes green building best practices for a large renovation, gut remodel, or cumulative improvements made over time. A home with this label has significantly better energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact compared to homes of a similar vintage.
Los Angeles County residents participating in this program will also receive a complete waiver of the
GreenPoint Rated processing fee (a $400 value)!
*Existing Home conducting a gut remodel and submitting under LEED-H in LA County are eligible for the $2000 rebate.

Getting the Green Label as an Enhanced Option with Energy Upgrade California’s Advanced Package is easy and affordable.
It’s easy. Getting an energy upgrade through Energy Upgrade California helps you earn 20 out of the 25 points you need for the GreenPoint Rated Elements label. Learn more.
It’s affordable. Homeowners in Alameda and LA counties are eligible to receive the above listed rebates in addition to up to $8000 in rebates for the Advanced package energy upgrades.
While it’s convenient to get the green label as part of a comprehensive energy upgrade, you do not need to participate in Energy Upgrade California to get the green label for your home. Any contractor (not just those participating in Energy Upgrade California) can partner with a GreenPoint Rater, or can perform the rating themselves if they are certified.
